We also provide family literacy programs. We reach out to people and change lives - one by one - through these efforts: * At Joplin NALA Read we recruit and tutor adults who need help in reading, writing, math, and English as a Second Language. * After learners are matched with a tutor, they set up their own schedule and work at their own pace, using the Each One Teach One method. * Our Workplace Literacy Program sharpens work-related skills. Learners study what they need. * Our Family Literacy Program breaks the cycle of low literacy as parents and children discover the joy of reading. * All services are free and confidential.
